Kiki reappears

Our friend Kiki the Elf showed up yesterday. Zack wanted to know how Kiki knew we would be getting out the Christmas decorations yesterday because Kiki was hiding in the room where the decorations are kept.

When we went to get out the decorations from the closet, Zack ran into the room. At first he ran right passed Kiki, never even glanced in his direction. When I told him he needed to get out of the way so I could move something to get the closet door open, he stood next to the dresser. It took a second before he realized Kiki was there and boy did he start jumping around. He was all excited that his little elf came back again this year to see him.

This morning he woke up and he wanted to go check on Kiki. We looked in the spot he was yesterday but he wasn't there. There is nothing like two adults and one child walking around the house calling for a magical elf. It is certainly not like he will answer us but still we had to make it known we were looking for him. About 15 minutes later he was finally found sitting between some things that were on the mantle. That little elf is so magical that one four year old boy wants to know how he can get out of one room and into the living room. After all he does not have wings. The whole magical thing is throwing off my logical child. Hopefully within the next month that Kiki is here to visit us we can get Zack to understand that sometimes things can not be explained.
