It has been such a long time since I last posted.
I posted a bit about my Mom being in the hospital, she was in for nearly a week. Turns out she had a stroke to her eye. What happened to cause that is a piece of plaque flaked off and instead of traveling to her brain, it went to her eye. She is blinded in one eye now and no-one knows if she will regain her sight in that eye or not. While in the hospital she had test after test and it was determined that both of her carotid arteries were 90% blocked. Surgery was done on one side and we should find out in 2 weeks when they will do the surgery on the other side.
After Mom was released from the hospital, I wasn't feeling well so I went to the doctor. Turns out I had strep throat. I still have no clue how I got strep but I had to stay home for days and not go anywhere near Mom for fear she would get it.
We went on our scheduled vacation to the mountains of Virginia for a week. It was such a beautiful place. I am sure I will post more about that later on in the week.
Once home from vacation I spent a few days getting some stuff done around the house then went out to my moms and spent the week there with her. I really did plan on posting about my vacation then but Moms computer would not let me log into my blog. That stupid computer was driving me insane, I tell you it really has a mind of it's own.
Now we are home again and we went to the open house for pre-k. Zack has been telling me all summer long that no way is he going to school, that he refuses to go to school and that I will not make him go to school. I bought a Leap Frog dvd about going to preschool, he watched it several times a day and finally declared that he wants to go to school because his favorite time of the day is going to be recess!!! That's my boy! We went to the open house and saw the classroom and met the teachers. I think he touched everything in that room familiarizing himself with this new world. When we walked out he stated " I didn't know why I was so nervous, I am going to love this place." LOL I love this kid.
